A map for legal purposes is a specialized cartographic study prepared by an authorized surveyor in scope 2, which presents the boundaries of the real estate being developed, the necessary data from land and mortgage registers and land and property registers. For the purposes of real estate division, typical court and administrative proceedings, maps for legal purposes are prepared, including:
- maps with the property division project, prepared on the basis of the Real Estate Management Act,
- maps with the real estate consolidation and division project, prepared on the basis of the Real Estate Management Act,
- other maps with a real estate division project to which the provisions of the Real Estate Management Act do not apply,
- maps with the land consolidation project,
- maps with a land exchange project,
- classification maps,
- maps of the land covered by the application for the acquisition of the ownership right as a result of acquisitive prescription, hereinafter referred to as “maps for acquisitive prescription”,
- maps to determine land easements,
- other geodetic studies for legal purposes,
- registers or lists containing data on land or its component parts.
